Cameras set up in the Kagwene Gorilla Sanctuary in Cameroon have recorded the best video ever of a group of rare Cross River gorillas in the wild.
The footage includes a male silverback, around the 1:10 mark, who puts on quite a show. The Cross River gorilla is the most endangered of all the African apes with only 250 estimated to be alive today. The Wildlife Conservation Society, who caught this intimate footage, issued a statement saying:
This video gives us all a spectacular view into the hidden world of one of our closest relatives, which is in dire need of our help to survive.
Take action: Join the campaign to save the Cross River gorilla.
