Is the ceasefire holding?

Assad's promise to cease all military actions from 6am local time on 12 April, in compliance with Kofi Annan's peace plan, has met with scepticism from western leaders and Syria-watchers. Since the deadline, at least four violations have been reported by citizen journalists supported by Avaaz. Accounts of shelling and gunfire have come from Zabadani, Hama, Homs and Idlib.

So far, we have not been able to confirm independently the circumstances of most of the shelling or gunfire, or who initiated it.

Below is a map which is updated as new reports come in from the ground. Blue flags indicate confirmation that the ceasefire has held, and red flags indicate reports of violations.
